Side and rear tempered glass is $200 to $450 installed for most vehicles. Astoria is fifteen to twenty minutes from the shop by Northern Boulevard or the Grand Central Parkway. Rear windows with a heating grid are reconnected and tested here before you leave rather than left for you to discover.

Rear windshields are the version of this job that people underestimate. On most hatchbacks and SUVs the back glass carries a printed defroster grid, frequently the radio antenna, sometimes a wiper spindle and a high-level brake light aperture. Replacing it means transferring and reconnecting all of that, then confirming each part works. We check that the grid clears evenly rather than in stripes, and on the vehicles where the antenna is in the glass we check reception before the car goes back out.
The removal takes longer than the fitting. Rear glass showers into the cargo floor, the spare wheel well, behind the rear seat backs and under the rear shelf, and on a three-row vehicle it reaches seats nobody was sitting in. We take the trim apart far enough to reach all of that, because a vacuum passed over the top of a load floor moves maybe half of it. Where the rear window is bonded to the body with urethane rather than clamped, it gets a fresh bead and the full safe drive-away time, and the tailgate stays gently closed for the rest of that day.
“In last two years I came there twice to replace Sienna's rear window and Chevy Express windshield. Both times they did a professional job. The price was much lower than here in Brooklyn, and replacement was done within 30 min, I definitely…”

Astoria's parking makes the choice between shop and curb unusually clear-cut. Side windows we will happily do where the car sits, including under the elevated on 31st Street, because tempered glass in clamps does not care about the weather. A bonded rear windshield is different: urethane wants a still, dry hour at a stable temperature, and a windy block near the waterfront in February does not offer that. Since the drive east on Northern Boulevard is straightforward and the vehicle is drivable with a rear window missing in a way it often is not with a driver's window gone, the shop is the sensible call for back glass. We will tell you which one applies as soon as you say what broke.
Same service, same price, other Queens neighborhoods:
Usually higher within the same range, because the pane is larger and carries the defroster grid and often the antenna, so there is more to transfer and test. Bonded rear glass also involves urethane and cure time rather than a set of clamps. We quote the exact pane once we have the VIN, so you get the real number rather than a range that moves later.
Generally yes, at moderate speed and with the cargo area emptied of anything loose, since airflow through an open rear opening pulls things out. Avoid the highway if you can and stick to Northern Boulevard. If the vehicle has been standing open in rain, tell us when you call so we allow the extra time the interior will need.
Tell us the vehicle and the glass that's damaged — you'll see your price instantly, and we'll hold it for you.
