This is the one job in our list that never travels. Everything else we do, from a chip repair to a rear window, can happen where the car is parked, but a static calibration needs printed targets positioned by measurement on a level floor with the vehicle sitting at its correct ride height. A curb on 31st Street with a camber and a bus going past is not that. So if your car needs the static procedure, it comes to Corona, and we will say so on the phone rather than sending a van and discovering it on arrival.
What happens once the car is here is methodical. The windshield is fitted with the camera bracket seated exactly to spec, since everything afterwards is measured from that. The urethane is given its safe drive-away time. Then the targets go up at the distances the manufacturer specifies, or the vehicle goes out for a dynamic relearn drive, or both in the required order. Finally we confirm the features are reading true and produce a calibration report. Nothing about the sequence is negotiable, which is why it belongs in a bay rather than at the roadside.
